  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I have thoroughly enjoyed the programme as it has been a great learning opportunity. Being able to work alongside learning is a huge advantage as I have been able to learn from lawyers in the profession I want to go into. It has also helped develop my future goals on what I want to achieve.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is extremely well structured and requires the apprentice to take initiative and control of their own work. Task sheets are set in advance and it is up to you to decide how quickly or slowly you would like to try and complete the apprenticeship. Very well organised. Glad I have done this.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Regular meetings are set up throughout the apprenticeship programme. The training provider allocates each apprentice a trainer who is their point of contact for any issues or help they need. • 9a. Would you recommend Civil Service to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • The benefits the civil service is able to offer is a huge help. There is the option for flexi-leave which is a huge help to help promote a good work life balance. There are a huge number of opportunities available and there are always things you can get involved in, the people are lovely too!

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Civil Service?
  • A few tips I would give to others applying to the civil service is to not give up. You will take a few knock-backs however consistency is key. The judgement tests are not as difficult if you continuously practice them. Also, if you do not meet all the requirements for a particular job of interest, but you meet some, still apply as you may still be able to get the job and develop other skills.
