I lead the Capability & Technology Team which provides systems, data and label input to AZ clinical studies. I meet with external providers, internal stakeholders and translate strategy into action through transformation projects
I have developed multiple skills in digital transformation, strategy, innovation, personal impact which helps me with my work on a daily basis and has allowed me to access new opportunities to innovate within our team
I really enjoy the programme but find the workload and admin associated with the apprenticeship to be high - I would like to focus more on translating the learning to action or space out the learning to allow more time for assimilation and application of learning
The programme is well defined but the structure can be hard to follow and can change at short notice with dates - it has become much better lately so think it is going in the right direction.
I receive full support from my Line Manager and our Apprentice Team - as the first cohort on this level I think I could do more to engage people with my learning and expand opportunities for discussion and debate on the subjects and topic but this is constrained by my time - my employer is incredibly supportive
I have check ins constantly and module leaders are available for discussions
I am definitely learning skills and models and translatable learning that helps me to perform better in my role
Yes - there are multiple apprentice activities - as I am on a level 7, I get more engaged with professional networking with my cohort but there are excellent opportunities
Yes
Because the work we do is vital to healthcare and because it is a great place to work and great programme
Prepare, apply and don't look back!
