My main roles are subcontract management covering site instructions, assessing applications for payments and managing subcontract change. Another key role is change control from identifying the change to pricing it. Other roles include subcontract procurement and other cost control measures.
I have developed both my personal and professional skills. From learning on the job and gaining the degree alongside, my knowledge of the industry rapidly increased. My communication skills and confidence have increased throughout this experience.
I really enjoy learning on the job, I have learnt so much more whilst at work arguably than doing the actual degree. I enjoy the work and study balance, 4 days at work and 1 day of university day release per week.
My programme is well structure with days dedicated to your degree.
I receive support on my professional development mainly from my line manager. Support can be given by project peers when I am needing support in completing a university module.
Support from line managers and project peers is available to support with degree qualifications, as most colleagues have vast experience on topics I learn.
It allows me to relate my day job to what I learn in my degree as well as apply what I've learnt in my degree to supporting my day job. It allows you to perform better and they usually work hand in hand.

Its not always about your grades or how many qualifications someone has, they also want someone who is able to work well in a team and is able adapt to different challenges.
