i am an electrician apprentice working in traction. i help elctricians go about there work in making containment for cables, wiring dc boards, termniating and also measuring out places to put equipment. i help set up and organise equipment and materials we are going to use and also tidy up after work
i have learnt many new skills whilst being here due to how different the work is. i have learnt hw to bend copper and attach fixings to them. i have also develpoed many skills with the company such as the making up of tray and trunking for cables to be contained in
i really enjoy the programme i have started with Balfour Beatty. the people have been really helpful and nice from those on site to the people in the office they all want to help you achieve your goal, and the work has been great expeirence for me as its something i really enjoy doing
the company is really well organised with my programmes i get regualr emails regarding my college and my apprentcieship work
i receive tons of support from my employer. im always told what i need to do to improve and where im going wrong and what im doing right as well
i reciceve an adequate amount of support from jtl the response could be better but other than that no real issues
they help with my education and understanding which is a big thing otherwise i wouldnt be able to carry out my job as effectively
