Day to day I am involved within projects and tasks that align with my current are of learning, I am continually supported by my mentor and line manager as well as colleagues. I never feel underconfident in any task given due to the support I receive.
I have developed a plethora of technical skills through my apprenticeship that would not have been developed through full time education, as well as soft skills, from understanding peoples feelings to how to effectively communicate and saying yes to opportunities that may be out with my comfort zone.
Although the pathway I have chosen can be hectic, I believe I will be equipped with the relevant skills to succeed within in the business, i have been apart of so many amazing things and it has given a sense of purpose.
My education in university is aligned with my tasks given within the workplace, This is due to excellent structure from Balfour Beatty. It has allowed clarity and has helped me manage work load in uni and in work.
I receive support in every area. I have never felt alone and have the confidence to speak up.
Everything is aligned and I am given time to study and i am supported through exams.
As I am completing a degree in electrical power engineering, it will benefit me massively.
