my role is to check in customer for their flight check they have the correct documents to travel make ,sure all the details in their passport match in the system also to check in their bags and tag them also give them their boarding passes and then they can go.
the new skills that i have learnt is how to communicate with the customers more effectively so that if they have any problems i can solve them effectively for example if their flight was cancelled i know what to do for them to be rebooked on the next flight then.
i enjoy this programme because i get to meet new people and experience different things i get to learn more about the role .also learning about the different documents that you need to have so you can travel to certain countries and what certain countries require to enter the country.
the programme is structured very well we get study days were we are offline from work so we can focus on studying for the apprenticeship we also have days that we have to come in to do workshops to learn more about the role for customer service and how to meet the goals.
i get a lot of support from my mangers if i have any questions i can email them and they will try and resolve the issue
i receive a lot of support from my training provider
it helps me to learn more about the role and have more experience with the role
