I work on the IT Service Desk, talking to the employees of the company and advising them on any IT issues or queries they may have. I also speak to many different teams in the IT department, as we work very closely together.
I believe my IT knowledge and troubleshooting skills have improved exponentially. I also think having the experience of being in a workplace environment has given me an insight into the real world, and how to present myself around others.
My job is never the same from day to day, always something different, which is an aspect of the job that I love. However, the reason I love the programme is because of the people I work with every day. They have been so supportive and patient.
This is the first time this course has been offered, but after ironing out some creases, we managed to work out what exactly was going to come of it. Now that I know what to expect, I have an understanding of what is next for this course.
The employer is a big reason I enjoy coming to work every day. There is an understanding of patience and support, whenever I am unsure or worried about anything, I know exactly where to go. I know that my employer will do what is best for its employees.
All of my course is online, so it is a different experience to in person courses. Whenever I get in touch over the course of the week I know I will receive a response within 3 hours, so any questions I may have are answered quickly.
My course is extremely relevant to my job. I am never doing something off topic, and it allows me to explore deeper into certain aspects of my role.
The company offers some networking events, they often pop up around holidays, and we also have some activities going on through the month. This can include going to the cinema, artistic workshops and having food vans come to the office. This is area specific, so it will not happen everywhere.

Say yes to any new opportunity that comes your way, it is the best way to learn. Do not be nervous to be yourself or speak out about any changes that can be made, the business is extremely inclusive.
