Assistant Cost Consultant Review

On a day to day basis, I am involved in reviewing cost information to assess value for money for our clients. Additionally, I am involved in the cost estimating process to provide forecasts for our clients.

I have learnt a lot about the different stakeholders involved within projects and how they are managed.

I have now completed my degree, however during the programme with university I did not feel as though I had much 1:1 support from the university. My work were always available to support.

I think the programme ran by the university has unrealistic expectations and is very focussed on hitting targets which often made me feel like just a number.

My employer has been very supportive throughout my apprenticeship.

I have not received much support from the university.

I believe that my degree has had a small positive impact on my role, however my on the job experience is what has helped me the most.
