    • On a daily basis, I have managed the delivery of active travel projects, managing design teams based in the UK and India. Using various software and standards to deliver compliant designs.

    • Management, software skills, communication with colleagues and external clients.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

    • I enjoy the work usually, but I feel as though I have been part of no apprenticeship. I have been in the company over 6 years and I have barely any guidance from the company in terms of the apprenticeship, only what my mentor has provided.

    • Not very well for apprentices in Wales, there has been no transparency for apprentices in Wales and no clear career path.

    • Lots from my team and my mentor.

    • I receive lots of help from the university for my studies.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

    • I feel that the university course does not really apply to my role as I have only studied two modules out of 6 years which is relevant. It would be more relevant if I was given the opportunity to gain experience in other sectors.

    • I have been vice chair for the ICE graduate and early years committee, taken part in ICE Bridges to schools events, delivering presentations to primary school students.
