As an Assembly apprentice, I started on the Assembly line to gain experience and being hands on with the product. I have been able to go on placements with different departments and gain experience with different areas and functions of the business.
Yes I have learnt new skills that will be relevant to my future within this industry.
I enjoy the programme, everyday is a different day. I learn new things every time I step through the door at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.
I feel as thought the organisation of my programme is rapidly improving since I joined in 2019. The only let down is the organisation of our Training provider as they seem to have less care with the classes they teach.
My employer supports me immensely and I can tell that they want the best for me. They have been supporting me in searching for a Job role.
There is definitely a lack of support from our training provider. I have noticed that one teacher in particular really wants the best for his students and will support me in trying my best. However this is not the same from some other teachers.
I think that there is a slight issue with course relevance but as a hole it is very difficult to find a course that applies directly to what we do in work.
Yes there are plenty, for example I have joined the email chain for the football team.
Yes
I think Rolls-Royce MC is a great place to work as it is full of friendly and helpful people and very nice and clean facilities. I would recommend going the apprenticeship route.
Embrace everything and get involved with as much as you can, ask lots of questions and don't be afraid to ask for help.
