My role involved working alongside sales specialists to support the pricing of BT products.
I have learnt a lot about pricing and learned to use many new tools which are internal to BT, also about the beginning to end process of a sale
I enjoy it most days, on occasion I do sometimes feel that apprentices are left to do the admin work and anything people don't want to do.
It is well structured on the university side of things, work not so much as our job roles change a lot throughout the year and only received a semi clear goal of where my apprenticeship job is going
I receive support from my team and manager but not from the early careers team at BT.
I receive a lot of support from in regards to uni and my degree. They could reach out a bit more for general support in my opinion
I think my degree does support my role in some ways but not always as a lot of my work is not direct customer facing and a lot of the degree is about that.
There is a lot of good networking event at BT which I can get involved with and also opportunities to support others in the company.
Yes
They are a great and modern company, flexible to help employees and also support them within the company to move around and explore different opportunities and roles. The offices are great and everyone is friendly and supportive.
I would say that it is not about your grades or previous experience but it is about your fit with the company they look for, don't be worried that you won't make it compared to others with experience as I had none before staring.
