My role is a Apprentice Quantity Surveyor within Arcadis, I carry out different activities and learn new a activities new week. I interact with multiple colleagues including my line manager and other members of the cost estimation team, I also find myself interacting with people within and outside of my organisation regularly.
I've learned and developed my technology skills drastically using a numerous amount of software such as Excel and CostX. I've also developed my communication skills and the why I communicate between different colleagues within the organisation. I also interact with people from outside my organisation so I've gained commination skills and experience.
I enjoy my programme extensively as I really enjoy and take interest into work I carry out. I look forward to each starting week and I learn something new day by day and each day is never the same as the previous and my skills and experience are ever on going developing.
My organisation is very well structured and is very clear and simple to understand. Everything that is happening and my actions are very clearly laid out and there is ever on going support for myself if ever felt the need for assistance. The full 4.5 years of my course have been set of to me so there won't be anything coming to me which I won't already expect.
I receive extensive support from various of people, such as my line manager and other colleagues. If ever find myself stuck on something I have access to countless numbers of people I can come into contact with to assist me, I've never found my self stuck and not been helped out.
I receive extensive support from my training provider as well as my UCEM training officer, if ever require any assistance or support with either my learning or personal problems there is plenty of help available to me if needed. I keep in touch with the tutors and the officer regularly to keep up to date.
I feel very confident and a lot of work and knowledge/information that I'm learning is relevant to my role so it helps boost my confidence. The tutors also often relate to my job role and explain the important of why we are learning certain topics and how it will effect me.
Yes, there are regular social activities which take place at multiple different places where all colleagues can socialise and have time to enjoy ourselves. There all also plans in place to start a football team, we also have times where we get the chance travel to other offices to speak to colleagues who we've only spoke to virtually.
Yes
I would recommend Arcadis to a friand because they're are very supportive, friendly and are ever going finding out new ways to improve there programmes and the way their employees feel. They care greatly for their employees health and wellbeing and they offer large amounts of support for those who may be struggling.
I would tell them that they're a organisation who take pride in their work in which they provide and professional mannerisms is expected at all times, weather its in the way you dress or the way you talk to one another. They take pride in their work so show you can provide professional manor.
