Day to day my role includes working with business wide stakeholders such as branch staff, financial advisers Ect to ensure all required marketing material is provided for our customers. My role also includes working and supporting on current campaigns in which we use both online and offline providing a wide range of experience.
Through doing my apprenticeship I have learnt a whole new range of skills. This is from simple things such as writing a professional email to working with clients on a business wide campaigns and events. One key skill I have developed is the need for communication as well as being open minded.
One thing that stands out for me is the flexibility around my programme has made it very enjoyable. The ability to have a programme that suits me and my needs has proved to be really effective and made the role even better for learning and developing my career further forward.
The early talent programme at Newcastle Building Society is structured in the best way possible. The support and encouragement you get when in your freshers month is incredible and the use of the buddy mentoring system has made my time here much easier. Being able to have the support and reach out whenever has made me feel much more comfortable in my role.
The range of support offered from Newcastle Building Society is vast and they have something to suit everyone. The way the organisation has arranged the 121 conversation structure with your manager allows you to have a open and honest discussion in a secure environment. As well as this the use of the mentor system has really helped me develop in my apprenticeship
Baltic Apprenticeships provide support whenever you need. The bimonthly check ins are really useful to see whether I’m on track and help discuss any current worries or issues. The learning weeks are great in interacting and speaking to like minded apprentices who are working in the same field as you. They are also only an email away at all times
Through being on the marketing executive level 4 it has made me look at marketing from all angles. Whether this is from the initial planning stages of a campaign to producing content for my organisation. The qualification has made me realise the nature of the marketing industry and allowed me to learn lots of new theories to apply into my role which gives better purpose to my work.
There are so many activities you can get involved with. In my team we like to have a social every couple months but this could be anything. We also have an on-site gym so this allows you to excersise for free which is a big bonus! We also have socials within the early talent cohort!
