My role is within BT 2nd Line Mobile operations where I work for a team called Corporate Solution whom are responsible for a product called DVPN. In my day to day role I work with both internal and external customers to deliver the DVPN product for BT.
When I started my apprenticeship I had no previous IT experience and very little knowledge. Now I am responsible for delivering my own projects and dealing with customers direct as well as looking to constantly develop my knowledge base by getting different recognised IT qualifications.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my apprenticeship with BT and I am now looking to transition from an apprentice to a full time employee in the coming months.
Overall the apprenticeship has been very well organised, however I have had some issues with my exam dates near the end of my apprenticeship but this is down to a third party being unable to fit my exams time in the agreed SLA.
My support from BT has been excellent and has allowed me to develop my IT knowledge to where it is today.
My Apprentice mentor from my training provider is very quick to respond to and support I need and has done an excellent job in helping me get to the latter stages of my apprenticeship.
My qualification has been essential to me performing better in my role as through my qualification I have learned a lot of key information that is essential to my development
Yes there are a lot of different extra-curricular activities that BT offer, I personally take part in 6 a side football with my colleagues every Tuesday lunch.
Yes
BT are an Excellent Employer who truly value every colleague.
Just be yourself and always strive to learn more.
