The combination of working in a role within BT Global and studying for a degree in B2B sales at Middlesex University was a fantastic opportunity to gain practical experience and academic knowledge simultaneously. In order to balance both work and study required dedication and time-management skills. This degree apprenticeship provided me with a unique opportunity to develop and apply my skills and knowledge in a real-world setting. The focus on B2B sales was particularly valuable, as this is a critical skill in many industries and will undoubtedly be useful in my future career. Additionally, working in a trading and command role within BT Global would gave me exposure to a variety of business processes and strategies, which was an excellent foundation for my future career. The 3 years was gained valuable experience and learned a lot, which is the ultimate goal of any apprenticeship. My apprenticeship allowed me to build relationships and networks within the company, which are already proving to be valuable. Overall, my degree apprenticeship with BT was an excellent opportunity and I couldn't recommend it more
Sales skills: As I studied for a degree in B2B sales while working in a trading and command role within BT Global, I developed strong sales skills, including market research, customer relationship management, and negotiation. Time management skills: Balancing work and study can be challenging, so I developed excellent time management skills during my apprenticeship. Communication skills: Working in a sales role requires strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and I definitely developed these skills through my coursework and interactions with colleagues and clients. Analytical skills: My analytical skills, such as data analysis and financial forecasting improved drastically though the three years
I really enjoyed my program. There is great satisfaction of learning something new every day and also meeting so many people, a lot who are my good friends now.
We had 4 days at work and one day studying. This was a great structure which fitted in well with our work. There were a few times we had a three day work shop at the uni but we had plenty of warning so we could accommodate with work.
There was continuous support through out the three years. Especially during covid
Middlesex gave us plenty of resources for our degree and offered one to one calls when ever necessary. When ever I needed help I was given it
It helped alot, the way the degree was structured allowed us to adapt which courses work to our jobs which meant we could apply theory's to our work and critically reflect what we were doing and most importantly what we learnt from certain experiences.
There were endless networking events I attended where I met all sorts of people. They also have a very big grad culture
Yes
