Looking after children in my setting involves making sure they eat plenty of food throughout the day, they have enough exercise usually outdoor play. I also make sure the children have a safe environment to play independently or with others throughout the day. Reading books or role playing in the home corner.
Yes. I have learnt new skills on how to talk to the children and interact. I have been given the chance to lead child activities and outcomes for this. How to record and given the chance to do reports for key children. This is with a qualified member off staff going through the EYFS with me.
I enjoy logging on and doing noddle nows. Leaning all about new subjects involving my job. Such as introduction to the EYFS, or in the moment planning. I also really enjoying having monthy catch ups with my asser, . She has helped with my confidence in this new role I've taken on later in life.
I feel the programme is very well organised and structured. I've found onefile easy to use and would recommend it. I've enjoyed being able to see my progress through the dial and also can see all the modals I have completed that turn green once completed. It has spurred me on to complete my course.
I received alot of support of my employer, she is always making sure I am on the right track and given me time at home to complete work for my course. This has helped massively as I have a child to look after. But my employer has given me the tools to succeed.
So much support was given to me during the hole of my qualification. Questions were asked about my dyslexia and if I needed support. In which I declined, feedback has always been very positive and supportive. This has given me the confidence to succeed in this qualification and onwards in my career.
My training provider always asks questions to help better my knowledge on every subject. This helps me to have a deeper understanding of the subject in question. If she feels like I need to widen my knowledge she will ask me to do a noodle now or online research then go back over the subject in our next zoom call.
No unfortunately there is no activities at my work. We do have a chat that we can suggest places to go for social interaction outside of work. Such as restaurants and coffee shops. This happens around the christmas holidays, or after and involves the hole of the staff within the setting.
Yes
Lovely people that give great service and guidance. All webinars are professional and supportive. All time frames for work completed are reasonable. Any questions are always answered in a timely manner. Never felt like an inconvenience or hassle to my asser. She has aways been professional, understanding and friendly from day 1.
Always ask for help if you need it. Work hard and attend all the webinars and noddle now courses. They give a very good understanding of different subjects. Learn on the job and ask staff who work at the setting for support and guidance this will help towards becoming a great early years practitioner.
