I participate in maintenance activities on live aircraft, filling my cap 741 and writing task reports to complete my apprenticeship.
I have learnt lots of new skills such as tool control, FOD control, interpreting maintenance documents and schematics.
I really enjoy the variety of work that is carried out on various different aircraft.
Although the program is not perfect, I don't believe any is and this apprenticeship is organized very well.
We receive all the support we could possibly need.
We receive an adequate amount of support from the training provider to get our apprenticeship completed.
I think our qualification is good for a base understanding of the job roll but the 'On the Job Training' is where you really learn.
There are loads of extra curricular activities to get involved in from STEM events to networking events.
Yes
