  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • We rotate around different placements so depending on the placement would depend on the day to day but it is generally supporting the team we are working in with various activities.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes definitely, through the business you experience different software systems that you can advance your skills in, learn new ways of communicating and generally IT like word or excel you learn more about, as well as about the company itself.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I think it is good but i think that is based on the peers we have and our skills coach, as a programme alone i think it could do with some development and more structure. We rotate placements but we dont have alot of option on where we can go.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I personally think not very well. I think that the grading system is a little bit flawed in that you can only move up 2 grades so it cuts off alot of opportunities.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I think our employer is brilliant. If we ask the questions they get answered and if we have any concerns they try there best, even if it doesnt result in the desired thing.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

    9/10

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I think it has helped me with certain aspects such as the project management, supply chain and learning different business skills and tools.

    8/10

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • N/A

    6/10

  • 9a. Would you recommend BAE Systems to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • It is a good company to work for, they pay there staff fairly and you get alot of exposure to different parts of the business if you ask for it.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAE Systems?
  • It is a long process when first applying but if you get through, theres alot of opportunity.
