On a day to day basis, my role involves getting involved with the BMS engineers and learning about the products and learning about how everything is controlled. My daily interactions include everyone working in the BMS sector. My responsibilities is to ensure everything goes smoothly and to spot mistakes other people could possibly make.
I would say I have learnt a lot of skills in the time I have been here for, including speaking to new people and customers, wording phrases more professional. I have learnt how to improvise a lot, if someone or I makes a mistake, we go about sorting it the correct way.
I enjoy my programme a lot, from the work experience to the college experience. I feel like all of it is very useful and has been very useful so far. It still has a long way to come but I think I am progressing very quickly and making a name for myself.
It is structured very well, a course once every 2 months and then an assignment is set to complete for the following course. it can range from 1 to 3 day course, depending on how much needs to be covered. A quiz needs to be completed straight after as well to ensure attention has been paid.
There is a lot of support from my employer, they offer loads of support services and just services in general, there is many. Anything I need in order to complete my apprenticeship they supply and will keep supplying it for me. They also understand when I have time off why I need the time off.
My training provider always supply all the information I need in order to complete my course and get the qualification. Any question I have they always answer it as soon as they can. They do have multiple people to speak to and for different reasons if need be. They always update us with changes if any are made.
It helps us to learn about the products and the whole way everything works, every time I sit a course I understand more and more how it works. They ease you into it very easily and keep adding information to the topics slowly. I feel more confident in my role.
They do have a football team that I know about, there is so many social activities all the time so this makes networking a lot better and easier. I am pretty sure once a year they have a big professional event that they give out awards and things like that I am pretty sure.
Yes
The atmosphere here is just so amazing, everyone is so caring and helpful and no one is ever really left out by themselves. After day of work I feel like I have completed something and been helpful. The workspace is always tidy and organised so working feels amazing. Everything about it is amazing!
Look for a job/role that suits you and you actually would like to do and you will enjoy working here. It is all about what you want to do, if you do not know what to do, always have a think and do what you want to do and pursue what you want to do.
