My current job role is training to become a manger on a day to day basses I evaluate and assess the setting to enable me to deploy staff correctly, I ensure the staff and children are in a safe environment at all times. As part of role on a daily basses i support and lease with staff members and room leaders to ensure we provide a nurturing environment for the children enjoy and progress.
I have not done any education since gaining my qualification around 20 years ago so all this was very new to me. I have learnt to do presentations and slide shows to support my knowledge and understand and demon straight that to share with others, I have learnt to reflect on key subjects and do research into theories and compare them. My understanding of children development is becoming more wider with understanding. My leadership skill have changed and developing in reflection of the information i have been given and learnt.
I have so far really enjoyed doing this level of education I didn't do very well in school as I found learning difficult I still do but slowly I do feel I'm getting there. I would recommend this course to anyone who wants to develop them self's and move up management level.
I do think it is very well organised and all the information and tools to achieve my tasks are available. the course is around the interest of the job I'm in and is structured around that. My tutor is available to hand via message, phone and email. The tasks flow so everything comes together as one and makes sence.
My employer very supportive and gives me all support i need. We do alot of discussion and work shadowing she as enabled me to achieve new parts of job role. I am able to have time to get work done on and off the job. My employer guides me to achieve my goal.
My tutor very supportive and understands my personal situation we have regular one to one to ensure I'm meeting the tasks set. We communicate through one file, email, and phone. Around every 6 weeks we have a one to one session and every 8 weeks a group session. My tutor sends me information and support tools.
The knowledge and support given by my provider is done in number of different ways i do feel with there support it as enabled me be a better team player and support other staff members. It as made me reflect on my own performance in my setting and make better decisions. This is down to the training i have had so fair.
Currently we don't do social activities and keep our setting on professional level this stops any conflict out of the work setting. But what we breakfast on morning breaks and provide drinks and treats e.g. fruit basket , biscuits etc. This so far is keeping staff morel on a up and everyone is included.
Yes
I have found it well organised and any issues addressed quickly. There is good support from tutors and the information to help gain more knowledge is robust. Everyone friendly and supportive this help builds people confidence. Mostly tutorials are at a suitable time and the information is passed on if not attended.
Don't be shy to ask for help the support is there. You will learn and develop new skills to succeed in your job role and beyond. Be prepared for learning something new and take time to research how to use one file it is user friendly once you understand it.
