My role and daily tasks vary constantly, more recently I have been working on the clean up of a programme that will benefit the wider team with future projects. However, when working on projects day-to-day it's crucial I am monitoring progress and keeping up to date with changes.
Within my time at Virgin Media O2 so far it has helped broaden my skill set in a number of different areas as well as build on communication skills dramatically. I have been exposed to different areas of the business and been given a large amount of responsibility.
I am thoroughly enjoying my programme and my time so far at Virgin Media O2. I am amazed at the amount of exposure I have experienced in such a short period of time and am constantly learning and growing. I receive support as and when needed which is also great.
My programme is structed brilliantly, the company allow me to allocate one day a week to my studies which is more than sufficient. The actual apprenticeship itself is brilliant and the training provider is well structed and has provided appropriate support through the scheme so far.
In my time so far at Virgin Media O2 I have received tremendous amounts of support from my employer, with a number of different people that I am able to turn to if an issue arises or if I am unsure of something which allows to to progress efficiently.
I have been allocated a mentor from my training provider that provides support as a when it is required throughout the duration of the scheme. There are also sessions that run for each module we receive which are both interactive and extremely beneficial in helping complete each portfolio submission.
I feel that each model we are assigned is relevant to my role which allows me to refer back and forth when trying to achieve my maximum potential in both my apprenticeship work, my day-to-day tasks and my project manager role as a whole.
They are numerous different activities and socials that take place. The future careers team which is run by graduates and apprentices host regular networking socials which gives us the opportunity to build relationships, and my wider team also have quarterly socials which are always exciting and interactive.
Yes
Virgin Media O2 is a great place to work, there are plenty of opportunities to help grow your career and substantial amounts of support available. Its both flexible and enjoyable with many different paths to follow.
My main tips would be to believe in yourself, be confident and most of all enjoy the process.
