Programming in Java and other languages to help develop core platforms.

Learned how utilize various industry standard technologies and frameworks eg. Java, Kubernetes, Helm etc.

The apprenticeship is incredibly enjoyable, presenting brilliant learning opportunities and satisfaction as you see yourself progress as a developer.

The apprenticeship follows a good structure, with one day a week fully dedicated to university workshops and studies.

5. How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive consistent support from my manager and the apprenticeship teams, with regular check-ins making it incredibly easy to request support.

6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The University lecturers are always available if I am stuck or need to request support. Lecturers also offer scheduled drop in sessions.

7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The knowledge I gain through my studies maps directly onto my working life, allowing me to perform better and tackle more difficult tasks with greater ease.

UBS offers a Developer Community that hosts a wide range of talks, sessions and occasionally in-person conferences to help expand your developer network.
