Role involves assisting Commercial Managers with the contract and commercial management of public sector contracts.
Yes many. Completed all of thr CMI Chartered Manager skill set after 3 years and have gained many other valuable skills and experiences in my role.
Very much enjoy my role and having the opportunity to gain experience from a young age. Wasn't too keen on attending university but overall I still found it interesting and valuable on the whole.
The work side was nicely structured. Taking a few stars off as communication sometimes wasn't the best between my employer and training provider. However it did work out in the end.
Definitely received a lot of support from my employer in particular my team.
Support provided most of time. A few stars taken off as it support wasn't always as structured and accessible as it could have been.
It has definitely helped on occasion with more general concepts like project management but I wouldn't say it was necessary for doing my role.
Yes many. A mix of volunteering opportunities, networking events, team outings.
Yes
I would definitely recommend it as a stepping stone for early careers and apprentices.
I think the most important thing is demonstrating a genuine interest for learning and getting involved in opportunities and wanting to bring something new or unique to the table based on your strengths and opportunities to develop yourself.
