I am a trainee Quantity Surveyor, day-to-day i del with payment, subcontract queries and tendering. I am responsible for ensuring that subcontractors are in place for when the site is ready, as well as negotiating in order to get the best price.
I have learnt many new skills since when I started my apprenticeship, including Land Surveying, Health & Safety, Building Regulations, Graphical detailing... These units have all helped to develop my skills, and gain a better understanding of the Construction Industry.
I enjoy my programme and the style of teaching, I feel as though it is a good balance having 1 session every week.
I feel as though the apprenticeship programme is structured very well.
I feel receive string support from my employer, I know if I had any concerns or problems, they would be there to help and support me.
I receive strong support from my training provider.
It allows me to have a better understanding of the construction industry, and an overview of all areas.
There are many professional networking events throughout the year.
Yes
Barratt Homes have been very supportive throughout my apprenticeship.
