  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My job role mainly involves further assessing peoples care needs when we first take on a someone's care package. I make sure care plans are always updated and are person centred. I also make sure everyone has got a sufficient amount of medication. Finally, I spot check carers.

  • Throughout my time as a fieldcare supervisor, I have met a lot of different heath professionals and encountered hard situations. From which I learned a lot of different skills.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Sometimes, the huge amount of information that involves the healthcare sector such as legislations put me off the programme. However, my learning instructor is very patient and understanding with me, and she tries to make very easy for me, so I really don't want to let her down and well try my best.

  • It outlines the programme in sections which makes easy for me to track my progress.

  • I get sufficient support from my employer in regards to time to attend my sessions which is really all the support I need from them.

  • I really get all the support I need. My training provider is always there if I need any kind of support. My training provider always tells me to email her if I need any kind of help.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I have got to know a lot of legislations and standards that I have never come across which are very linked to my job role. I feel that I know my job role and my responsibilities more in depth now.

  • not really besides the refresher training.

  • Yes

  • My learning instructor has been very supportive and understanding which made getting thorough this qualification much easier.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Realise?
  • make sure you always keep up to date with your learning journal and allocate time daily to study.
