I did not have a role except for completing my apprenticeship course. I am also learning about Sage Intacct software.
Not many skills have been learnt so far. Th apprenticeship course started three months after I applied to Sage and became an employee. I was without work during this time so developed no new knowledge or skills. Apprenticeship course is slow, I haven't learnt much yet.
I enjoy my Apprenticeship programme and the way in which it's presented. I like hybrid ability to be able to be in the office sometimes and others at home. I enjoy doing off the job tasks and completing activities.
Very organised. Scheduled weekly meetings with tutor and 6 hours time given to complete off the job tasks and learning.
Very good support received from Sage. People including my manager, line manager, and other colleagues such as Talent Acquisition Partner for early careers.
Some. I have mentoring sessions with my mentor every month and then one with my mentor and manager. I haven't had much interaction or discussion about working towards my qualifications.
Not at all. I have been given no role or day-to-day tasks to perform within my role and the things learnt in my apprenticeship course do not relate back to my role.
Yes. Sage Foundation is a big one for me. Volunteering for different charitable things. You get 5 days a year to do this and choose and charity to volunteer for.
Yes
It's an amazing place to work. All the people who work there are good people. You make big connections with lots of people. The rewards and benefits are exceptionally good.
Go for every opportunity and keep your options open until you find something perfect for you.
