I operate multiple recognition schemes such as the Long Service Award ceremonies, Going the Extra Mile card and badges, the STAR Awards and more. I also answer queries which are sent to our department email inbox, book meeting rooms, raise purchase orders and more! I love facing new challenges within this role too.
Yes, I would say my verbal and written communication skills have significantly improved since commencing my apprenticeship. I have achieved tasks which I previously would have felt very anxious to commence and implement. I have also noticed a huge development in my capabilities with Oracle (our financing system) as I used to feel very hesitant to use the system.
I really enjoy the programme, it has a great combination of new and continuous tasks. I feel as though I have learnt more from the role and the team rather than the apprenticeship learning itself but I would definitely recommend the career path to my family and friends. It makes me very happy.
I would say the programmes are well structured but can felt easy to disengage from. Sometimes there is a variety of videos within the main learning that don’t carry a lot of worth in my opinion. However I appreciate the flexibility as Damar Training we’re able to rearrange the order of learning to accommodate my project.
I receive a great amount of support from my employer, they are happy to accommodate my learning and apprenticeship days. Members of my team have been more than happy to provide witness testimonies and other areas of support. I would recommend our Trust as a place of work, they’re amazing!
My coach has been amazing at answering any ad hoc queries which I have had outside of our coaching and review sessions. I really appreciate her time as every time we converse she is able to confirm any issues and provide me with a multitude of information. My coach has been wonderful.
I feel grateful that I will receive a qualification at the end of my apprenticeship, as it will be a great to show my achievements. However in my opinion I have learnt more from my role rather than the apprenticeship theory - as much of the online content is common sense.
I have been leading on arranging the social events for our department. At this point we have seasonally decorated the office, organised a trip to a pub quiz and arranged our Christmas party. There are also many social events held within the Steps4Wellness team such as step challenges and sport tournaments.
Yes
I feel proud to work for the NHS, this Trust and this department. I feel as though this role is what I was waiting for and it has been the best challenge and experience. I am grateful for this opportunity and believe it has brought my self confidence back to its best.
I would advise to always try an opportunity which comes your way, even if it seems very out of your comfort zone. I have learnt that trying new things is how we advance and the pride I feel after conquering a new challenge is amazing. Additionally, feel proud of being a part of something so incredible.
