General Manager and Lead General Manager. This involves the day to day running of my pub from people to finances. Controlling all lines of the business and driving new sales initiatives. Alongside my role as pub GM I also am Lead GM for the area working with other GMs as support.
I have learnt lots of new skills on my apprenticeship mainly around being an effective leader and how to communicate to all levels of the business. I have also developed further skills in time and task management to better deliver the results needed and balance all areas of my life.
I am really enjoying the programme it is giving me the opportunity to meet new people from different backgrounds. It is also delivered in an engaging way and helping to look at things in a different perspective.
The programme is extremely well structured and is delivered effectively.
The support is growing from my employer. My direct line manager is invested in the process and is extremely supportive of the demands this programme carries.
There is lots of support available from the provider and I feel confident and comfortable to approach them if I needed any further guidance.
I feel that the qualification significantly improves my performance in my role as I am now able to see things subjectively and have the confidence to challenge ideas or put forward my own ways of working.
We have the ability to attend professional networking events but no social events or activities
