I am the head chef i open the kitchen and close the kitchen i take care of all food ordering and stock counts including line checks. I cook food help my team with anything they need help with. I prepare my team for NSF visits where we strive to keep our 5 stars.
Yes i have learnt hoe to be more confident within myself when deligating to my team and the front of house team. I have learnt new skills in all different areas from changing my mind set to yes i can not just i will do it when i have time
Im really enjoying the programme now that i have been able to manage my time so i can have equal work time, time on the programme and time for myself, it has opened up new areas for me and helped me work towards my goal which i am still striving towards.
It is in monthly breakdowns which is easy to understand so is well structured that way i just think either my work coach or someone from the scheme would explain more to my GM about needing certain hours purely to get my work submitted on time instead of having to do a lot in your own time
For my self i do not personally get any support from my GM he either does not understand or is just not bothered by it i get help and support from my AM when he is available and others in the area and different kitchen staff from other sites which is helpfull
I get a lot of support which i really appreciate esspecially now i am nearing towards the end of this first year of level 3 i know i can pick up the phone and give her a call, text or email if i am stuck or need her help with anything
It has given me further insight and depth of what i thought i already knew and has given me my confidence back which i had previously lost i feel like i fit better into my job role more now than i have done for a while which is better for me and the company
No we dont have anything like that going on which is a shame i think as we would greatly benefit from extra revenue that they would be bringing in which would mean we could spend more on labour and keep getting our contracted hours which at the moment we are not
Yes
I think it is a good company to work for and you can progress into higher roles if available we recieve rewards which is always an added bonus for us it shows that they care about us and our mental health if you have any doubts you can text burnt chef for mental health help
To go ahead and apply there ia always plenty of roles available and we are a good team of people who would help and support no matter what, you get chances to work in other pubs if they need staff and your willing to go to which is always good to see how others work
