Each day I spend in the office is divided up into time where I can develop my indepentdant learning as well as learning job skills in areas such as procurement, contracts, orders and anything else you need to become a QS
Through my college block and being on site I have learnt new skills in the classroom as well as new skills on site in areas such as payment processes and contracts
The college block system is very well planned and then the placement onto site is a very smooth transistion and everything you need to be made aware of is done very quickly.
The early careers team are very responsive and make all apprentices well aware of the structure, the college staff are also very keen to help whenever needed
Monthly calls with tutor to continue my qualifactions, support there if I need it whilst at work
The college blocks have given me alot of insight into work on site and in my office, preparing me thourughly for the future
Yes, me and some of the other apprentices of my age group had the oppurtunity to take part in Go Karting and even a college wide 5 a side tournement!
Yes
Everyone is super supportive and they all take alot of time to help you get where you want to and need to be, there are no apprenticeships like it where you get to spend 9 weeks in a hotel with all your friends whilst at college giving you a great work/life balance as well as a university experience as such!
Get as much work experience as possible, the best thing before going on site is having an insight to what life will be like post college but also just enjoy yourself, the college blocks are the most fun youll have since school
