I've been brought in to help my business unit deal with and use its data in a better way. Initially I didn't have much to do, however recently I've had a lot of very challenging and educational work which has been great
I've learned and developed a lot of new skills since working at Arcadis. My soft skills have really developed, and I've had a chance to play around with some programming/visualizing which I've not been able to do previously
The programme started out a bit bumpy, but has become far more enjoyable as time has went on. The people I interact with are all very helpful, supportive, and good to work with, and the uni course has been very useful
The structure hasn't always been the best, both from the uni side and the business side. However there have been meaningful attempts to change this which have went some way to making it far better
Whenever I have had issues raised, they've always been taken into consideration and I've been supported every step of the way. I've been given plenty of time to improve skills and learn, which has been perfect
The support has been fantastic if at times a bit delayed. Taking the youth of the course and provider, I would say I've been very well supported
Some of the skills I've learned have been vital to my day to day tasks. It's been fantastic to see things I'm learning translate to the real world.
There are plenty of extra-curricular activities, however I work remotely so much of the time I'm unable to get involved
Yes
While things maybe don't always run smoothly, there's a clear desire to make positive changes wherever possible. My coworkers have been fantastic, and the projects I've worked on have been very collaborative, which has been great as I've felt like I've contributed
Really try to get involved with all the schemes Arcadis offers. The company encourages reaching our to people all across the business so take advantage of that. There is a pressure to deliver, but not an unhealthy pressure, and one which is a necessity for the type of business
