  • Account management, cold calling, prospecting new business accounts, email management, delivering customer service.

  • I have learnt how to pitch and approach businesses, prospect them with something that could be valuable to their day to day running's. I have learnt how a corporate business is run internally and why certain systems are in place.

  • Overall it's been an enjoyable experience but I feel like the support has lacked sometimes.

  • Sometimes it is very organised and then sometimes things are quite un-organised.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Overall there is a lot of support but sometimes I feel like there is too much information to take in and I find myself needing more and more support. It can be hard to keep up with.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Firebrand give out a lot of support, Jason has been great.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I would say it has been detrimental for me to perform better at my role. The sales training I received through my training has helped me tremendously with my approach in my role. I have learnt skills and techniques that would take years to learn without any training.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes lots of team night outs, charity events, vendor lunches.

  • Yes

  • Very good place to work for, especially if its your first job and you want to gain experience and get your foot in the door to becoming successful.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Softcat?
  • Cliché, but just be your chill self. Trust the process and if it doesn't work out then they're not the company for you.
