  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role is currently inbox based. Picking up requests such as deal registrations , bids, sourcing products and qoutes. Working with both AM and customer requests. My main contacts are Account Managers, Customers and distributors. We have set service level agreements like response times, free delivery for some accounts, set margins.

  • I have learnt so many new skills that being for the job role and oustide of work. The main skills i have learnt are building relationtionships, taking the initiative, organisation, and communication.

  • I really enjoy this programme. i have met so many people and learnt so many skills.

  • It's structured okay, wish it was a bit more suited for my role.

  • i recieve good support from my employer.

  • it's okay. i would prefer if we have more set deadlines.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • It helps to certain extent in terms understanding the sales process and how customer approach us as resellers. With regards to my role, I only come in later in the sales process so my exposure in other areas are little but I am getting more with the help of my manager and apprentice learning mentor.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes there are so many. we have volunteering, events like tough mudder, kickoff, team nights out, founders day.

  • Yes, i love working here. The people, culture, money and the job are all things i love and enjoy. they have a role for everyone!


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Softcat?
  • Go for it. Be youself - talk to people and get your name out there. I made it my mission to make relationships internally no matter how senior. Be respectful and responsible and follow the values!
