I am learning how to weld and also work in a workplace environment safely and effectively.
I have learned how to weld and also I have learned how to work safely in a workshop environment.
I enjoy this program a lot, it is fun and engaging and a great opportunity for the future.
it is organized well with constant communication with the company but the only complaint is the lack of understanding of what certain roles are in the company after me and my colleague apprentices informed the company of this they set up monthly meetings to explain the purpose of certain people in the workplace
I receive more support than I ever imagined, the company makes us feel wanted and valued as we are the future of the company so they want us to succeed and it shows.
I receive a lot of support when working towards my qualifications and the company will always get us help if and when we need it.
I feel like the qualifications I am working towards are exactly what I need to be learning to be able to do my job safely and efficiently of course there are some parts of the course i would rather not do but they are mandatory as part of the qualification and they arent that hard anyway so over all i would say that it is an enjoyable expeireince
during lunch breaks we go out and play some football, some of the apprentices play 5 a side or 6 a side during lunch so there really is plenty of extracurricular activities to stay active in between work periods
Yes
BAE Systems have supported me through my learning journey and made me feel wanted and appreciated, much more than I thought any big company would so it was nice to walk in the door and instantly know I was at home and that my future career will be a good one. this company really is an employer for life with the number of opportunities they provide there is truly something for everyone.
go for it and you will never regret it, you will have countless opportunities to grow your skill set and much more.
