My role involves the commercial management of various schemes from start to finish working as a contractors QS. This involves developing target prices, cost monitoring, change management, Early contractor involvement and final accounting.
I have developed my mathematical skills, social skills interacting with different members of multidisciplinary teams. I have also developed technical skills related to the QS role
I have thoroughly enjoyed my apprenticeship thus far. The role has been varied completing different tasks. The team i work with have been friendly and more than willing to help with questions. I have had support in completing my degree alongside my day job
My programme is well organised with progress reviews at regular intervals to check progress and form targets. I have been allowed 20% to complete off the job training as required by the apprenticeship

My training provider provides progress reviews with my workplace to ensure they are offering me the opportunities to develop. The lectures have been helpful and lecturers friendly.
My training offered at university has been directly related to my role as a QS with me being able to apply my knowledge to work. The training covers other areas that may come up in future roles as QS acting on behalf of the client as well as contractor
There has been 5 a side football team that runs once a week after work, and there are coffee morning once a month for apprentices
Yes
They provide lots of training opportunities, both in work and through training providers. The team is friendly and i have thoroughly enjoyed the work. To top it off I've done all this whilst also getting paid to do it
