I work within property procurement and predominantly look at fixtures and fittings. Most weeks I visit 1-2 supplier visits where I learn about the business, build stronger working relationships and talk about specifications and costs. I investigate into contracts, and search for cost saving opportunities through each discussion
I feel I have learnt many new skills since starting my role at greene king. I have been learning the content through university and then have been applying the skills and knowledge I am learning there into my role.
I really enjoy my apprenticeship. I feel as though I am in the right role and that I am learning the right content. Overall I feel very happy with my apprenticeship
There are a few issues with the organisation side of my apprenticeship. The link between university and work does have gaps and there is a lack of communication between the two. It can sometimes be hard to align the two
I receive a lot of support from my employer
It can sometimes feel a bit disconnected however when I have questions they do get answered. Overall I feel like the support is there
I think it helps a lot. Having the knowledge helps me to develop in my role a lot.
