I have advanced from a previous apprenticeship as a BIM Technician so half of my time is as a BIM Specialist and then the other half is as an engineer. I also manage a BIM Technician apprentice too.
Presentation / maths / digital / programming / managing / time.
I really really enjoy it and I feel that Mott MacDonald are always willing to assist and support me in anything that I do or would like to do. I am constantly given new opportunities and experiences.
Very well organised. I have regular catch ups with my manager to ensure that I am on track and we plan for the future too.
There are multiple avenues of support from many different parts of the company.
The training provider is the university and they assist me, but I would not say they are overly attentive during out of office hours.
I think that the learning gained from the training provider helps me have more background knowledge to then support me in my role at work.
I am involved in many different groups and wear many different hats too. This includes, digital, BIM, Office Management, IT and Innovation to name a few. There are also ECP (Early Career Professional) events and conversations and also a social division that organise events. Also professional networking events.
Yes
They are a great company that care about their employees and always encourage employees to achieve anything that they desire.
Find your path and go for it.
