Audit trainee, being assigned different areas of the audit to work on including areas like cash and fixed assets and testing them to ensure the balances are accurate.
Lots of new skills to learn as completely new area of work (audit) and also new skillset (accounting) used to complete it
The exams are tough and work can be long hours.
Perhaps study leave could be a bit longer but in general it's good to get study leave and college for the exams. We also have to take 3 professional levels at a time compared to 2 which can be difficult.
ACA team at BDO are not great. However, we all have a counselling manager who would be able to help and support you if you need it
BPP are helpful and are responsive to questions via email or even whatsapp.
It definitely helps to put theory into practise. Although I would say 90% of my learning has been on the job.
