    • Audit trainee, being assigned different areas of the audit to work on including areas like cash and fixed assets and testing them to ensure the balances are accurate.

    • Lots of new skills to learn as completely new area of work (audit) and also new skillset (accounting) used to complete it

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

    • The exams are tough and work can be long hours.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?

    • Perhaps study leave could be a bit longer but in general it's good to get study leave and college for the exams. We also have to take 3 professional levels at a time compared to 2 which can be difficult.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?

    • ACA team at BDO are not great. However, we all have a counselling manager who would be able to help and support you if you need it

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

    • BPP are helpful and are responsive to questions via email or even whatsapp.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

    • It definitely helps to put theory into practise. Although I would say 90% of my learning has been on the job.
