I am shadowing skilled engineers and learning about business needs.
Learnt how to create carbon fibre, how to create models and drawings in CAD Software, how to operate a 3D printer and how to create electrical circuits.
I enjoy my apprenticeship at BAE systems a lot. I have learnt lots of interesting skills and met some great people.
Very well organised. Submission pieces are clearly explained and skills coaches are on top of signing off work when it has been handed in.
Lots of support when it comes to mental health, physical health, extended deadlines and travel options.
Lots of support provided when needed, but also allows opportunities to work independently to gain skills and confidence at tasks provided.
I feel like the knowledge we are given helps forward my capabilities within my role.
Outward bound. A week away to get to know your colleagues and to strive yourself out of your comfort zone.
