  • I am shadowing skilled engineers and learning about business needs.

  • Learnt how to create carbon fibre, how to create models and drawings in CAD Software, how to operate a 3D printer and how to create electrical circuits.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy my apprenticeship at BAE systems a lot. I have learnt lots of interesting skills and met some great people.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Very well organised. Submission pieces are clearly explained and skills coaches are on top of signing off work when it has been handed in.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Lots of support when it comes to mental health, physical health, extended deadlines and travel options.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Lots of support provided when needed, but also allows opportunities to work independently to gain skills and confidence at tasks provided.

  • I feel like the knowledge we are given helps forward my capabilities within my role.

  • Outward bound. A week away to get to know your colleagues and to strive yourself out of your comfort zone.

  • Yes

  • Good benefits, friendly employees, lots of support, gain a lot of knowledge, good skills.

  • Ask questions, do not be afraid to ask for help, everyone is willing to help, do not be afraid to speak your mind.
