On a daily basis, I make phone calls to organisations such as the court, police and hospitals, I chase medical records, draft legal documents and assist solicitors on client matters.
I have learnt good time management skills and knowing how to keep organised, better telephone confidence and communication, improved drafting skills and learning how to work in a pressurised environment.
I enjoy my programme and although it can be stressful at times, it is also very rewarding.
I have one study day a week so that I can complete my off the job learning and the rest of the week I complete my workplace learning. This allows me to have time to complete my study work and still assist my team during the rest of the week.
Within my role, I have monthly one to one's with my supervisor where I can bring up any concerns or go over things that have gone well within that week.
I have coaching visits with my Damar Learning Coach and these sometimes also involve my supervisor.
It provides me with the knowledge I need e.g., drafting legal documents so that I understand this more when it comes to completing the task in the workplace.
We do have social events and charity events e.g., charity bake sale in the office or dinner events at the end of the financial year.
