I am an internal auditor so I review controls clients have in place for processes and report this back to the audit and risk committee to provide assurance their controls are sound and in line with best practice.
Yes - I have learnt plenty of skills about internal audit but also the ACA qualification Mazars are sponsoring me to complete is providing me with plenty of transferrable skills into many aspects of business.
It is intense, but enjoyable. The team at Mazars are great and make going into work enjoyable. I am given loads of responsibility in my job role which is stressful, but rewarding at the same time.
Once it got going, the programme was well structured with clear dates for completing tasks as well as study. The first couple of months were a bit confusing as it was not clear what study path I was on, but these were swiftly resolved.
I receive support from seniors in my team for my day to day job and receive study time to complete my professional qualification.
BPP are good at providing me with support.
The ACA is not particularly relevant to internal audit, however the assurance module gave me a good insight into how assurance works and I have been advised the same is true for Accounting and Assurance.
I am on the social committee so budget for, organise and attend office socials and charity events.

Friendly staff. Rarely working beyond 5pm or on weekends. Get given a lot of responsibility from early on. Interesting and diverse client portfolio.
Speak to a current employee as they can provide you with good specific tips about applying there.
