I check my emails in the morning and assist with any tasks that my line manager or any of my other colleagues give me. This could be to draft an email to a client or to draft a first report. I may have team meetings with people in my team, general meetings with the service line or meetings with other trainees where we catch up.
I've learnt how to use different types of software. My team working skills, time management and organization has improved. There are many training videos, lessons and emails available to keep you up to date and make sure your skills are constantly being improved.
I enjoy the programme because I am well supported by my colleagues, there is always someone on the team I can go to for help. People also have adjusted expectations because they know that most trainees are coming into the field with no experience in the area, so colleagues are very understanding.
There are senior people on the team who have given their feedback so it has made it easier for new people to follow a structure path. There is a dedicated early careers team where you can ask any questions and you can ask any colleagues as well as many of them have been through the same process.
I am well supported by my team and manager. I receive study leave and leave to attend any college lessons. If I have any issues I know that there is someone available to help me.
The training provider is good and professional and they can answer any queries I may have.
The qualification is very important and vital to performing better in my role because it gives background knowledge and exposes me to things I might not encounter in my role but are useful to know so that I have a general understanding of the profession.
There are social events such as team dinners and meet ups. There are many clubs and sports team that anyone is welcome to. There are professional networking events occasionally.
Yes
The company pays for your qualification and provides good support. The pay is also good and you can get really involved in work. I enjoy the culture at Mazars.
Make sure you have researched your role and the company well.
