Reviewing companies accounts and performing tests around the balances ensuring the figures present a true and fair view.

2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Developed my analytical and attention to detail abilities. Communication skills have been developed as you will liaising with the audited entities and team members frequently on a day to day basis.

3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy my programme very much. You will get the opportunity to work on a diverse range of clients in numerous industries. There is a lot of opportunities to to travel and the work you perform can be very interesting and rewarding.

4. How well organised/structured is your programme?

It is well organised. We have a dedicated function which deals our exams and allow us to email any queries or questions. We are always told well in advance of our exams and when and where we will be studying, also given enough time to study.

It is a great opportunity to advance your career in the industry. Everyone is very welcoming and supportive. The exams are structured well giving you adequate time to revise. Opportunities to travel and client range is very diverse and a very positive experience on a day to day basis.

10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BDO?

Be yourself, show enthusiasm and why you want to work for the firm and what qualities you can bring. Do research around the job and what it involves and get a firm understanding about the firm.
