  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Day to day I am interacting with stakeholders on all levels of the business and around the world in order to deliver data products. Every day can vary quite drastically from working on a dashboard to then giving a presentation to senior leadership. Every morning I have stand ups with the team to share current working objectives and to see where we can get/offer help.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • This scheme has definitely helped with my confidence of having to present to and communicate with others, it has also developed my organisational skills, having to manage and schedule multiple meetings at different time zones with multiple different organisations. It has pushed me to develop myself and think about what skills I value.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I am apart of a great team all looking out for me and pushing me to achieve good outcomes. I travel relatively a lot to London to meet up with the team, socialise and to share plan the teams development together. I was given my own project to work on and deliver myself relatively early on, which was great to get that responsibility.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive all the support I could want, any help that I would require in any aspect of the job I know I will be supported with, by other members of the team, my daily manager or by my team manager, I know they all will make the time to provide the help and guidance that I need.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • As far as I know there is a massive array of support provided, I haven't required it. The lecturers are kind and respectful going over assignments when required and answering any clarifying questions on coursework and on the course in general. I have had no issues with the training provider.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel some aspects of the qualification do help with understanding and giving a good base level of my role. There has been times in which the course material has been useful in the job role, but then also there has been times when I haven't used the course material.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are socials that happen within my team and some socials for the graduates. I am looking to become a mental health first aider which would be personally fulfilling. There are subsidised gyms memberships, there are some inter department social events and movie nights. As a job goes its pretty good in these aspects.
