My role involves the running of shifts. This will include interacting with customers, checking quality of food, handling cash and changing tills, controlling the amount product being wasted.
This apprenticeship has helped me a lot with knowledge I thought I’d forgotten about but as soon as I started writing it’s as if it all came flooding back. It’s taught me a lot about the importance of some of the procedures we complete.
I enjoyed the course more that I thought I would as I got to remind myself of things I thought I’d forgotten about.
It was very well organised and I was always given realistic time scales to complete work.
Very little, I felt like most of the time I was having to give up my own time outside of work to come and complete it because they weren’t giving me the time well there.
The first tutor I had was great, she would help me with any questions I had and would always give me motivation. The second tutor I had also helped me out a lot but would take a while to respond back to me sometimes.
It’s helped me be more confident as I’ve got the knowledge in the back of my head.
Yes. Every year they do a football tournament and one of our teams has just won their round and are going to the final in Glasgow soon.
Yes
It’s filled with a lot of different people who you would not think you’d speak to normally but I’ve managed to make some of my best friendships, I’ve learnt how to say things in different languages.
Be open minded to the job and try and step outside of your comfort zone.
