Picking up a wide range of jobs from the inbox (billing, opening files, closing files etc.), contacting clients, liaising with my team members and fee earners (often getting asked to do a job directly from the fee earner. Meeting deadlines for bigger projects and bundles.
Most of my day-to-day tasks are new skills to me as I have never worked in a law firm before. No new skills within the Damar programme.
Yes
I couldn't think of a better company to work for, leaving college and not doing 'the norm' despite others around me taking different routes, was very daunting, and I often wondered if I had done the right thing. However, after lots of hard work when I was lucky enough to be offered a place at Irwin Mitchell I knew I had done the right thing - I would say it's one of my biggest achievements so far.
-Be yourself -Believe in yourself -Be inquisitive -Be different!! There lot's of competition so stand out.
