  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I am someone who tests various features of the code that Devs are looking to release into production. My job is to assure quality and functionality alongside various other things.

  • Coding, various differing coding languages at the moment are in the works, the theoretics behind testing, advanced teamwork, and the start of learning banking and financing.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy it a lot, learning coding, though slow for me, it is fun and the theoretics behind testing are very interesting.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I haven't had much to do with the programme itself but what from I can see it is well done and very well put together by the various teams involved.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive a lot of support from the people around me, especially my manager. I also have team members who are very open and friendly.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I receive an acceptable amount though there have been a multitude of issues to reach this point.

  • It does not have a huge impact on my role.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are a lot of charity events and social events to get involved in, I have semi-recently been a part of some apprentice talks and general talks to members of the business.

  • Yes

  • Good atmosphere, interesting work and an overall good environment to grow and learn in for the most part.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Sage?
  • Never limit yourself, there are so many differing people here with some really amazing skills, take advantage of all the wealth of knowledge around you :)
