During university times, day to day involves going to university, doing coursework and revising or sitting exams. During placement times, day to day work involves completing training, carrying out tasks set by your team or line manager, engaging in calls with your team or your career coach or carrying out personal tasks to enhance skills
I have learnt many new skills. Firstly I have engaged in training for a multitude of software programs including Google appscript and alteryx. I have also enhanced my communication and team working skills by being involved in inclusive teams with constant communication through emails and conference calls updating the team on my progress
The program is a massive opportunity and involves a great support network. I enjoy the program as there is constant communication through term time and many opportunities to enhance both university and work life. It also provides a good balance between uni and work. The work is never out of reach and there is always help involved
The programme is very well organised with set term times and work times. It also provides a good time for a break between finishing uni and starting work in the summer and the same for finishing work and starting uni again in September. There is also constant contact through the year
Pwc offer an extremely effective support structure. There are multiple calls throughout the year to ensure progress at uni and allow for questions and support. There is also constant email contact and support networks. They also provide university contacts that you can prevail of if you don’t want to contact work
The university provide a great support structure. You are assigned a personal tutor that you can go to with any questions you have about the course in general. All module lecturers are also there for specific module questions. The Pwc contact at uni is also there for any work related questions during term time
My qualification directly leads to the work I do during placement. The coding skills I learnt in level 1 of uni were used in my first placement along with the Microsoft excel skills. The qualification also allows me to learn skills that I will hopefully apply later on in my career path
Pwc offer a range of extra curricular activities during both work and term time. They offer a TDA formal every year that allows all the apprentices to come together and have a great night, I also got involved with 5-a-side football with my team which allowed me to build relationships outside of work
Yes
The course is not only a great opportunity due to the job prospects it involves at the end of it, PwC is a great company to be involved with as they are inclusive, engaging and supportive in all things work and uni. They also provide the stepping stones to a great career path
Be confident in your own ability throughout the application process. If you get through the process build your relationships both during uni term time and at work, this will help throughout the program and after. If you work hard during term time it pays off during placement as you feel more confident and are better at the tasks given
