On a day to day basis, I face customers of different backgrounds, needs and ethnicities. I deal with banking and financial queries which customers are struggling with or need some assistance in. I have a vast responsibility in keeping customers data safe and secure. Needing to follow set procedures.
I have learnt many new skills and attributes to improve my development. It has already developed my existing skills like communication skills, confidence, customer service and many more. I have learnt a majority of skills in which always improves and progresses each and everyday.
Honestly the programme, I am on is a great career change for my self and has opened many opportunities for me. Definitely has enabled me to explore a different sector and also a setting stone for hopefully a successful career.
The structure is quite good, In my opinion I would have preferred a face to face option in terms of the classes and teaching. However the structure is good as it allows you to learn and work to it's fullest at all times.
My employers are very good. HSBC whenever I need help would jump to help me. If I need to query about anything they would respond immediately. My line managers and team members are always happy to help. Always positive energy and great opportunities to develop.
The support is great, my talent coach was immense! Any problems - I would go to her, and any help that I needed she would be there for me. Throughout my time gaining my qualification my talent coach was always there for me. Kaplan's learning material was fantastic and spot on.
It helps you understand the fundamentals and the knowledge behind what your presenting to the customers you face. It provides a great foundation and further knowledge to ensure you are working within conduct and following certain regulatory bodies.
There are many professional networking events in which I've gone to and helped within the community too. Things like a farm, diwali events, Luton Town FC, future fit HSBC event for change etc. Many events which I've had the opportunity to be involved.

I feel privileged working for a big company like HSBC, it opens many doors for your finance and banking journey.
Be yourself, think of your values and be the best version of yourself. Try to stay positive and ready to gain new skills and attributes.
