Supporting the development of leadership development and leadership development programmes for our leadership teams. Working with suppliers to manage the development of content, understanding gaps in learning and capability on where we need to prioritise our work. Working with teams around the business to support needs and help them to build capability.
Definitely learnt lots of new skills! really pushed my understanding and how to develop personally!
I am so pleased that I have taken this route into my career, it was 100% the right career choice for me over traditional university as I appreciate the value of working and applying real time work experiences to my classroom learning.
It has got better over time as the increase in population and size of team.
So much, it is about understanding what you want and need and how to leverage that with your work, I cannot fault bp's support though, it is always there when I have asked for it which is the main thing!
You have to be very self driven on an apprenticeship as it is up to you to keep yourself on track. I have struggled at times, but if you push for support you do get it eventually.
I think it supports my understanding about why we do what we do, I am glad I have my degree, but having the practical application of the learning along side my role is what is most beneficial.
Definitely - there are so many, and as someone who moved away from home for my apprenticeship it was a massive help for me to gain new friendships and a support system around me while I started this new journey. I have learnt lots from all of my extra curricula activities which have helped me within work as well.
Yes
It is a super friendly place to work, and as an apprentice the support is second to none. I think the apprentices are what makes the apprenticeship amazing, bp sets us up for success and helps us to thrive, and support one another in this great community we have created whilst thriving at work!
Be honest, do you homework about our business and industry. Work out why you are excited about working for bp and what you think will help bp reach its goals.
